Istanbuls Spice Bazaar 🇹🇷
I visited Istanbul last month, the iconic euro-asian city on the Bosphorous river.
“If the earth were a single state, Istanbul would be its capital’. Napoleon Bonaparte
The city was a central hub of the Silk Road trade routes, linking asian products such as silk, tea & spices with European buyers. I was excited to visit the Spice Bazaar, which has traded herbs & spices, used for both cooking and medicine, since 1664.

Wellness Retreats 🧖♂️
Modern travelers are planning trips with their health in mind, which means wellness retreats are on the rise.
The idea behind wellness retreats is to get away from the stress of normal life, learn skills and practices that you can take home to live a more mindful, balanced and connected life.
You can watch my guided tour of a wellness hotel in Pammukale, Turkey, famous for its mineral rich thermal spa’s and healing waters 👇🧖🏼
Types of Wellness Retreat 👇
🌴 Forest bathing, helps to lower cortisol levels , lower your blood pressure and heart rate as well as boosting your immune system.
🧊 Cold therapy and the Wim Hof Method works to boost your metabolism, improve the quality of your sleep and reduce inflammation.
🧘🏽 Yoga and meditation retreats often focus on calming the mind, realigning with your true values and healing from mental and spiritual blockages.
🥗 Nutrition wellness retreats help you to create a new, healthier relationship with food through the use of fasting and cookery classes.
🖥 Digital detox retreats enable you to switch off from the online world and connect to what really matters.
The idea of a wellness retreat has resonated with me for a while.
Why not feel physically & mentally rejuvenated with new ideas and inspiration for my health goals? 🤔
Ultra Endurance Cycle 🚴🏻♂️
Too often we are comfortable in ourselves. We stop trying new things, testing our physical acumen and surrender to excuses of ‘watching the kids do it’ or recounting old football injuries.
It’s important to regularly challenge yourself. Putting your body through physically challenging activities trains your mind to be open to new ideas, discoveries and opportunities.
It makes you a more receptive human being.
