Part 2: A doctors’ Guide to Cordyceps Fungus: Fact or Fiction
Can this mushroom really preserve my health, improve my energy levels and reduce fatigue?
Why does Cordyceps boost athletic performance?
Cordyceps is described as a natural exercise mimetic. The theory is: Cordyceps increases blood flow to the liver and non exercising skeletal muscles, which may enhance the clearance of lactic acid. This allows athletes to maintain a higher intensity of exercise and delay the onset of fatigue.

Cordyceps has shown properties in preventing lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and high lipid accumulation. Cordycepin, the active component in Cordyceps Militaris, reduces the production of pro inflammatory compounds such as Nitric Oxide. Glamourising the Grind
I have always enjoyed working hard, probably associated with my days as a competitive swimmer, taking pleasure in knowing I was training while others were asleep.
When you’re out there partying, horsing around, someone out there at the same time is working hard. Someone is getting smarter and someone is winning. Just remember that - Arnold Schwarzenegger
I have taken this mentality into my work life, filling my free time by taking on extra shifts in the hospital and working weekends. I’ve come to realise this lifestyle isn’t healthy. Sometimes our plates get full so fast, we need to be careful of what’s falling off the edge. I’m now glamourising my 7 hours a night, my sunlight and exercise, maintaining healthy relationships and my mental health.
Stop glamourising the grind, self care is the way to success.
